Pests control with CO₂

Application scope

CO₂, both gaseous as well as in the form of dry ice, is an excellent tool for pest control in spaces or storage silos. Dry ice is used in the treatment of smaller spaces. For large surfaces or silos gaseous CO₂ is recommended.

Requirements

For the calculation of the necessary amount of CO₂ that is needed for pest control, one has to take into account that 1 kg dry ice or 1 kg of liquid CO₂ releases approximately 0.5 m³ gaseous CO₂.

In the event of pest control for large surfaces CO₂ is supplied in a liquid form, together with the necessary evaporators and pressure control equipment.
